Advocates

CSULB supporters become Advocates when they email, write, call, or visit legislators about specific issues. We also invite Advocates to share their support for CSULB with friends, neighbors, and colleagues.

Advocates can be as involved as they want and can take positions only on those issues that they wish to take. If a supporter does not agree with CSULB's position on an issue, they can always "sit one out". Participation is completely voluntary.

CSULB hosts Annual Legislative Days which are open to Advocates. CSULB takes a team of Advocates to the event and arranges visits with local area legislators.

• Ensuring the CSULB tradition of Academic Access and Success for all students
• Assuring that CSULB is a significant provider of economic strength to the state and the nation
• Providing for future generations to enjoy and benefit from strong affordable higher educational opportunities

Advocacy @ The Beach works because legislators value Advocate's opinions and respect their interest in CSULB and the future of California's students.
